Leader in non resident lending back in the late 90’s and up to 2006 Citifinancial now do no lending and are offering existing clients zero redemption penalties if they can move their loan elsewhere. Given most clients will have a mortgage with Citibank that completed before prices spiralled the opportunity to re-mortgage to a better lender at 60% maximum and avoid the 1% redemption penalty normally charged is high at present.

Most loans with Citibank were lent at 1.75% above Euribor with re-mortgage rates considerably lower than this; it is a good time to move.
