La Caixa is one of the biggest and strongest savings banks.

La Caixa have a great deal of flexibility in their underwriting process and will accept applications most banks would reject if they can see validity within them. This includes nationalities such as Russians and Eastern Block clients.

Rates tend to be client specific and often no approval can be gained until a valuation has been paid for. They are not the best for mainstream clients but for those clients with unusual circumstances they remain one of the few banks with flexibility on criteria and bespoke loan offerings.

La Caixa do offer re-mortgages but only to residents.
